Lovely to see what you wrote, Darius Cowan! Thanks for that. I am always surprised — sometimes amused — that a tiny comma that helps when we need it should get so many writers upset. I, too, always use it. So much simpler that way! And I warn my clients that unless that have a really good reason for not using it, I’ll be making sure it’s in their work.
