Most of us are so used to sales for any type of holiday that I’m sure we don’t even consider what has happened to this holiday. And I’m sure I was one of those until I read your piece.

I wouldn’t have gone shopping because honestly, except for basics, there’s nothing I need that I don’t have. But I have friends who can’t wait for these sales, even when the sales take on a holiday that should be so much more.
