I once loved Bob (for real), too, Sarah Elkins, but it just didn’t work out. That said, he’s often in my thoughts, and I wrote this piece a couple of years ago (before the final break). He was and likely still is a terrific odd duck, and charming beyond belief. And he showed me his ways that over time I accepted and integrated into my own self.

I’m guessing you, Lisa Gallagher, and I all talk to others all the time, even only to admire a cute baby, or laugh at standing in front of a display case unable to make up our mind. White or brown eggs? This bottle or that? And I especially talk with others who are roughly my own age, because there’s so much we can relate to in the same way!
