So, yesterday, Thursday, 11/22/18, was the American Thanksgiving holiday, one to (hopefully) join with family and friends, unplug for a bit, and be grateful for all that we have in our life.

Right?

The traditional dish for our Thanksgiving is the turkey, likely because they were everywhere back in the 1620s when those who left England for a better life arrived on the shores of what is now the Plymouth / Cape Cod, Mass., area, and a year later celebrated their first harvest, joining in with the local natives for that feast.

Since that time, turkeys have been running for their lives in October and November, and of course there are millions of fun cartoons and memes (funny to us, anyway) concerning the hapless fowl and the celebration so many of us endure … oh.

Moving on …

From a friend, Ken Boddie, from Australia … Now, Ken, the question is …

I often find great stuff on freelance copywriter Steve Tannuzzo’s site — here’s another gem.

From Admin Martin Wright & Editor Sarah Townsend:

My buddy Jim Saelzler always finds great stuff and sends it to me; this time he found TWO:

Why are they singing? Because they have a can-do attitude!

Best-selling author Harry Beckwith found a beauty here …

Thanks to seasoned contrarian John Vaughn for this one below / under / underneath:

And my favorite of the day, given the play on words and the reality of it:

BONUS: The Butterball hotline — snarky version

Which one is YOUR favorite today?

Many of these funnies come from Facebook pages that you can access any time you need a few more good laughs. My favorites are Single Dad Laughing, I am not a grammar cop, Language Cranks Redux, Pun Based Humor, The Punitentiary, The Unknown Punster, The Valley of Pun Memes, Wrong Hands, Tickle my Punnybone, and Tannuzzo Copywriting.
