First Friday Funday of 2019
Good morning! Are you finally getting back on track after the endless round of parties and Auld Lang Syne and such over the last couple of weeks? Gifts received, returned, exchanged? Bowls of punch (spiked or not) emptied?
Holiday decorations removed … or still up, staying up until March?
Well, life does move on, and luckily for all of us, it’s another Friday. Time to step back, take a quick look, laugh, and then. Yeah. Back to life without holidays, at least for a while, unless you’re lucky and celebrate more that I don’t.
There are just actual complaints received by “Thomas Cook Vacations” from dissatisfied customers in 2015, and thanks to John Marrett for finding and posting the original list. I do find them hard to believe, but maybe that’s just me.
1. “They should not allow topless sunbathing on the beach. It was very distracting for my husband who just wanted to relax.”
2. “On my holiday to Goa in India, I was disgusted to find that almost every restaurant served curry. I don’t like spicy food.”
3. “We went on holiday to Spain and had a problem with the taxi drivers as they were all Spanish.”
Want more?
So here we have birds resting … between long flights? After parties?
Although we haven’t had any snow yet here in southeastern Massachusetts, we know it’s coming. And yes. I see several grammar goofs in it, but it’s still funny. For those of us who live in areas where there is a lot of snow, we can relate to it!
Thanks to Ken Boddie for this next one, although I think it falls into the category of “NOW she tells us????”
It’s possible a few won’t get the emotional impact from this next one … but I sure do!
Another trip down memory lane…
A good pun brightens my day
With all the advice on the web these days about organizing our lives, should this still happen? (BTW, this is EXACTLY what yesterday looked like to me.) What’s the old saying? “Man plans and God laughs”?
Are these two adorable or what?
And my favorite for today as I remember how it used to be …
Actually, this video is my favorite today! Who doesn’t love babies and dads together? Thanks to Larry Boyer for showing it on FB this morning.
Which is YOUR favorite today?
Many of these funnies come from Facebook pages that you can access any time you need a few more good laughs. My favorites are Single Dad Laughing, I am not a grammar cop, Language Cranks Redux, Pun Based Humor, The Punitentiary, The Unknown Punster, The Valley of Pun Memes, Wrong Hands, Tickle my Punnybone, and Tannuzzo Copywriting.
